Content is relevant up to KS3 however could be a good starting point for KS4/GCSE studies. Included are key vocabulary, key features and ideas of humanism, answers to big questions of morality such as, humanist views of truth, how life has meaning and value, the ‘good life’, societal impact and views on death. This resource is by no means an extensive one containing everything on secular humanism, however it does provide the key ideas and beliefs as a summary and can easily be adapted where necessary. For example, each slide/topic/question could be used as lesson within itself. This resource is designed to allow students to show what trey got up to during summer and let you and fellow students get to know them, taking the idea of This Is Me from the Greatest Showman! Guarenteed to get student enagaged and excited to start the new school year… TOPTIP - Play the Greatest Showman Soundtrack in the background of student completing this activity. A great way to start the day and get back into the rhythm of classwork. Students are to complete a Skit-tell-us card. But first you need a pack of Skittles and students are to pick 3 different colours and then answer the question as shown on the first slide. They should do this in the box on their sheet, use as much colour as possible, then they can eat their Skittles. Once students have completed them you can they display them in your classroom… Then you can show us your design and students work via our social media - make sure you tag us (@AllRoundRes) and use our hashtag (#GetYourLearnOn) HAPPY BACK TO SCHOOL CREATING! This resource is a range ‘pins’ that relate to teachers and the work they do every day, with students all over the world appreciating the lives they change. Simple #RAK can change someone’s mood for the day. This resources always students, teachers and staff say thank-you to all the work teachers do in school – allowing them to #GiveBack. This resource is full of colour! Creative and bright ideas for people to give notes to the people they appreciate most, like; “I DONUT what I would do without you!” designed to be given with a donut. Each card has a meaning and a form or treat/sweet/snack that will go with them. It’s an EDITABLE resource, so you can adapt it to your school’s needs! The idea behind it being everyone deserves a little recognition for all the hard work and dedication that both staff and student commit to each year. It forms part of the #12DaysofChristmas The main principle being you fill a box full of goodies (you can go to Poundland etc.), write and thankyou note a leave it in the right classroom/office etc. So then, that person will do the same for someone else… and so on… forming a chain of KINDNESS! “Add a sparkle this Christmas! Fill a box, full of Christmas items, like the one you have! Carry on the trail of Christmas joy. Place your box in the teachers or student’s classroom with their name on and add a note! Put a ‘You’ve been Jingled’ sign to the door!” How have you used this idea in your school? Send us pictures!... We want to know!
